High Pressure Die-Casting

High Pressure Die Casting is a casting process used to produce complex and precise metal parts. In this method, molten aluminum is injected under high pressure into a steel mold or die. The high pressure ensures that the aluminum fills all cavities of the mold, capturing intricate details and achieving a smooth surface finish.

Roots Cast (RCPL) has 19 Die Casting machines (Cold Chamber) ranging from 120-ton to 1400-ton capacity. High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) can produce casting weights from 8 Grams to 7.5 Kgs (0.02 lbs to 17 lbs) in HPDC.

Gravity Die-Casting

Gravity Die Casting is a permanent mold casting process where the molten metal is poured manually into the permanent mold from a ladle. The mold cavity fills with no force other than gravity, and filling can be controlled by tilting the die.

Roots Cast (RCPL) has Horizontal Clamping & Tiltable Gravity Die Casting machines and has many customized Stand-alone tool facilities, and can produce casting weight in the range of 150 Grams to 75 Kgs in GDC (1 lbs to 165 lbs).

Low Pressure Die Casting

Low Pressure Die Casting, the molten aluminium metal is pumped from a sealed furnace, and the pressure holds the metal in the die until it solidifies. The molten metal slowly fills into the die, turbulence is avoided to achieve castings with excellent metallurgical properties.

Roots Cast (RCPL)'s LPDC machine is fully-automatic with a capacity of 500 Kg Furnace and has Digital proportional controlled 16 Air cooling lines, 10 Water cooling lines, and 6 mist cooling lines enabling to cast suitable metallurgical components and produces casting weight from 500 Grams to 35 Kg (1 lbs to 77 lbs) in LPDC. The machine is enabled with various error-proofing methods such as Automatic Metal temperature Control and Die Temperature Control.

Assembly

An exclusive manufacturing facility for manufacturing "ready-to-fit" sub-assemblies & assemblies for Automotive, Aerospace, and Industrial applications, and the assemblies are validated & passed through complete functional & performance test benches. Special processes such as Heat Treatment & Surface treatment processes are processed through NADCAP approved sources.

Roots Cast has rich experience handling spring, rubber, sheet metal, plastic injection molding, fasteners, and turned parts for making the "ready-to-fit" sub-assemblies & assemblies.

Sequential pick-up of child parts, Kitting of child parts, Jidoka system for Torque (automation with a human touch), and Variant’s Assembly fixtures are available to make error-free assemblies.
