What is RHEO Casting?
RHEO Casting is a specialized semi-solid metal (SSM) casting process that uses a controlled slurry of Aluminium alloy with a specific solid fraction, which is injected into a die under high pressure. Unlike traditional die casting, which uses fully molten metal, RHEO Casting operates at temperatures lower than the melting point of the material.
Benefits of RHEO Casting:
We have designed and developed our assembly lines in a manner that allows us to have maximum efficiency with Poka-Yoke to prevent defects. We assemble parts using robust equipment and automated processes very efficiently and accurately. We develop and assemble the following child parts with our castings:
- Thin Wall Castings: Capable of achieving wall thickness as low as 1.8 ~ 2.0 mm, enabling lightweight components without compromising structural integrity.
- High Thermal Conductivity: Ideal for applications such as Heat Sinks and Automotive EV Power Electronics Housings, where efficient thermal management is crucial.
- Improved Mechanical Properties: Parts exhibit enhanced strength, elongation, and toughness, resulting in superior durability.
- Complex Geometries: The process allows for intricate and complex geometries to be cast with high precision, suitable for components that require functional integration.
- Pressure-Tight Castings: Roots Cast ensures leak-free components, making it the ideal solution for critical applications like Pumps, Compressors, and Hydraulic Systems.
- Extended Die Life: RHEO Casting processed with lower melt temperature, which reduces die soldering and thermal fatigue, extending the die life by 30 ~ 50%.
- Reduced Die Casting machine tonnage than normal: Approximately 30 to 40% reduction in Die Casting machine Tonnage.
- Weldable Components: RHEO Cast parts are weldable, providing more flexibility for post-casting processes.
